GL Accountant with English
Location - Kraków

That is why, as a GFS Accountant you will have the opportunity to embrace wide area of business operations, expand practical financial knowledge and strengthen analytical skills. The role gives great opportunity to develop knowledge and practical skills on a path to senior position in finance.
You will:
- Performance of the month end, quarter end and the year-end close activities
- Calculation, preparation and posting of journal entries
- Reconciliation of balance sheets accounts including follow-ups with local finance teams and business partners
- Be part of the plant finance team, regular communication, projects and ad hoc analysis
- Supporting Finance Directors and Finance Controllers on daily basis in identifying, defining and implementing processes improvement opportunities
- Identifying and providing a solution to common general finance issues
- Audit support in relation to general accounting and ensure appropriate controls are in place
- Development and implementation of standard accounting solutions according to Six Sigma and Lean methodology
- Supporting and taking part into transition processes of new activities and new scope
- Playing active role in implementing new financial solutions and tools
- Acting as a cross departmental point of contact for management, business analyst, local finance teams and business partners
You have:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent, with ambition to develop a career in Accounting and Finance area
- Preferably 1.5 years of professional experience in the area of accounting (good understanding of AP/AR or GL processes)
- Good understanding of finance and accounting principles
- US GAAP experience (preferred)
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, and other MS Office tools and applications. SAP or AS400 experience would be beneficial
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in English
