Your role
Do you have a knack for designing and implementing state-of-the-art data driven solutions to provide quality insights for service management and improvement? We are looking for a Data Science Developer to;
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Mine and analyze data from various data sources to drive service optimization and improvement and business strategies.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize stakeholder experiences, revenue generation and other business outcomes.
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
• Develop processes to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Partner and collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders across Infrastructure Operations, Engineering and Application Development & Support.
Your team
You will be working as part of the IT Infrastructure & Platform team, where we manage and operate key IT infrastructure, Middleware, databases, analytics platforms, and security products and solutions for the bank. As part of this team you will be expected to develop Big Data, Data Science / AI & ML solutions using state-of-the-art technologies and algorithms. You will utilize your experience to drive and implement a wide variety of data and analytics use-cases, in strong collaboration with internal and external teams globally.
Your expertise
• You have worked on projects manipulating data sets and building statistical models
• Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, Scala, SQL etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark, Sqoop, Oozie etc.
• Experience working with and creating data architectures.
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
