Your role

Your team
Join one of our engineering teams in Wrocław and develop your programming skills, selling your ideas, communicating and helping others achieve state of the art delivery pipelines.
The program offers you the chance to be a part of one of our Technology teams in Krakow and then an opportunity to find a permanent role at UBS.
Working alongside our engineers and businesses stakeholders will allow you to gain a wider perspective on technology and how it's used in the financial industry.
We’re working in agile environment, practicing continuous integration, delivering to production on weekly basis and supporting our applications in production.
We use the best tools for the job including Java 8, Groovy, Spring, Spring Boot, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink, Elastic Stack, Azure.
Your expertise
You have:
• Computer science or computer engineering-related education background
• Understanding of computing science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms
• Knowledge of Java including low-level parts of API like collections, multi-threading
• Experience with programming tools/approaches such as Github, Jenkins, TDD, OOP
You are:
• A quick learner, with problem-solving abilities
• Aware of on-going technology trends and know how to pragmatically leverage their benefits
• Comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• An excellent communicator, fluent in English, both spoken and written
Nice to have:
• Clean coding skills and focus on quality
• Knowledge of design patterns and refactoring techniques
• Understanding of agile development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban etc.)
• Practice with Unix (RedHat Linux) command line tools
• Experience with stream processing, Flink, Kafka, Docker, Azure
