The mission of Retail Global Pricing and Demand is to drive this intent through Pricing and Demand excellence in close collaboration with local teams.
Fuels Pricing Europe & South Africa has quite material contribution to our global Retail Business and shows a high level of maturity, if it comes to pricing concepts and usage of technology. Advanced analytics incl. machine learning, integrated value optimization along the whole Downstream value chain incl. aspects of Energy transition representing the dimensions value growth is driven through pricing excellence.
This is done by staying close to the markets through dedicated regional support in the areas of People, Strategy and Systems, while leveraging and contributing to global best-in-class pricing systems and tools, learnings in price strategies and tactics across the Shell network and a learning community of professionals driven by Pricing and Demand excellence.
The Pricing Consultant role reports to the Global Pricing and Demand Manager and is part of the Retail Global Fuels Marketing and Pricing team.
Accountabilities:

Europe/South Africa: Support the integrated value delivery of Pricing and Demand through Retail Europe/South Africa. This includes contribution to delivery of Retail Europe/South Africa annual T&R objectives.

Development of Pricing and Demand competencies in the region for future growth, esp in the area Advanced Analytics incl machine learning to drive Pricing agility

Global: Leading the global Pricing Community, in this capacity contribute to development of global Pricing and Demand competencies in the areas of People, Strategy, Systems/Tools and leading engagement with the global Pricing Community.

Europe/South Africa Focal point of the Global Pricing and Demand team to the Europe/South Africa Retail Pricing and Demand teams. Support the development Pricing and Demand teams through competency developments in the areas of People, Strategy and Systems/Tools:

People: Driving Pricing and Demand excellence throughout the organization including in the Pricing teams, Sales and Operations, B2B/B2C/T&S interfaces and Marketing.
- Strategy: Support the development of Pricing and Demand Strategies in line with specific objectives including support of analytical initiatives to drive innovation and data driven decision making.

Contribute globally to Global Pricing and Demand’s pricing excellence in the areas of People, Strategy and Systems so that other markets outside Europe/South Africa also benefit from learnings in the region, through global replication and sharing.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in pricing

Tactics in preparation for Market disruptions, price wars, product implementations.

Experience in leveraging Pricing systems such as OneFPS application suite

Effective communicator inspiring trustful relation within Region and Global Pricing Community

Strategic thinker capable to generate insights and lead selected global initiatives related to key trends in Pricing including digitization, competitive behaviors, oil prices impact on margins and volumes, pricing tactics and strategy

Excellent analytical and Insight generation skills

English C1 is a must
