We’re looking for a Development manager to:

• Provide strong development management and leadership, working across multiple teams
• Bring technical expertise to the development process
• With expert knowledge in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, DSDM..)
• Is system architecture savvy, help drive architectural decisions to suite requirements
• Work with multiple stake holders and partners across the organisation
• Strong people management skills
• Lead Cloud Migration of software applications from on-prem to Azure
• Promote test driven development and drive test automation mindset among developers
• Evaluate tools / services and new technologies and suggests the right service and technology to be used
• Create Knowledgebase, Functional and Process document for team

Your team

Are engineers, designers, leaders, collaborators and most of all key influencers. Teams work in a global environment, based in New York, London, Zurich, Poland and Hong Kong. Working closely with business and support to develop and deliver global solutions. GT-ALM IT supports the banks’ unsecured and secured funding desks. Major initiatives include Cash tools transformation, re-platforming the banks repo system, New pricing analytics engine and transform of legacy apps to cloud based computing.
It is an exciting time to be part of our team, you'll play an important role in driving the development and leading technical design discussions with the architects. Our culture centers around partnership with our product development teams, transparency, accountability and quality with self-empowered teams.

Your expertise

• 10+ years of experience of managing teams, where you have been part of full project lifecycle from inception to implementation, proven track record on process automations, designs & implementation
• Leadership experience in leading teams of IT professionals across multi locations
• Current experience on development software engineering background in programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Shell, Scala and good working knowledge of UNIX /LINUX & Windows server infrastructure platform
• Aware of building and implementing CI / CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, GitHub, TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven / Gradle (or related build agents), Nexus etc
• Application of supportability (logging and monitoring) and security aware (TLS/SSL and Vault)
• Ability and experience to migrate application from on-prem to cloud (Azure)
• Background in IB or Finance domain with good understanding of finance principles
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - both written and verbal
• Motivated, self-directed and driven; known for hitting deadlines deliver functionality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in combination with a can-do attitude
• Collaborative approach towards problem solving, working closely with other colleagues in the global team and sensitive towards diversity
