This position is one of 3 Pricing Expert roles within the Shell Fleet Solutions (SFS) Western European Pricing Team. The Western European region covers 8 markets and is in terms of volume sold and value contribution the biggest cluster in Fleet Solutions globally.
Pricing is one of the most important strategic pillars for Shell Fleet Solutions and the key value lever for the business.
The Pricing Expert will be a key contributor to the value generation by maximising the integrated margin income through the creation and implementation of pricing initiatives.

Operationally this includes:

Development of new and innovative pricing schemes in strong collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Teams

Leverage integrated values by liaising with Trading & Supply, identifying value opportunities and turning them into tangible CVPs

Monitor and manage discount exposure and customer profitability through the customer life cycle, initiate corrective actions and develop concepts to increase efficiency

Management of the margin income throughout the entire value chain
-
Strengthen competitor intelligence by ensuring a continuous and structured capturing of data and providing insights

Track and manage all risks and exposures to Shell and ensure compliance in the area of pricing decisions to end customers or partners

Support the annual, quarterly, and monthly planning and forecasting processes

Interact with data team to identify new opportunities and structure new reports to support the delivery of business performance

Contribution to the development of the global pricing strategy and local tactics

Develop and drive the implementation of Fuels Pricing vision in the region

Formulate the right mix of elements of a winning offer depending on a solid understanding of the weaknesses and strengths of our competitors

Develop and drive New Fuels and Pricing strategies with deep understanding of the supply chain as well as of the emerging relevance for our customers
Accountability:

Implementation of the Fuel Pricing Strategies

Management of daily List Prices based on sound analysis (pricing elasticity, price-volume relationship and competitive pricing)

Contribution to the delivery of annual T&R

Definition of the right discount position based on value pricing and customer banding

Monitor, analyse and report Shell and competitor pricing behavior

Leverage synergies within Mobility by an intense cooperation with B2C Pricing

Engage Sales Teams to provide a two-way flow of competitor/market information

Feed the Pricing Manager with regular updates on margin optimisation strategies

Promote pricing discipline and competencies in the region, especially within the Sales Force

Establish strong cross functional cooperation with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations in Krakow and Chennai, in order to build a strong pricing infrastructure that underpins and sustains pricing excellence
Requirements:

Analytical skills, curiosity and proactivity, ideally with a good understanding of the fuels value chain or pricing to B2B customers

Knowledge of pricing and analysis tools

Strong team player in a cross functional environment with excellent communications skills

Proven ability to leverage a global organisation and local Sales and Marketing Teams

Proven strong delivery, especially leveraging by global functions

Comfortable with ambiguity and complexity

Ability to manipulate data in excel and/or access

Fluent in English

French, Dutch, or German language skills can be a plus
