We are looking for an energetic individual who would like to work as a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist for Europe's biggest Chemical & Products plants (Refineries) in the Netherlands. In these very exciting times of energy transition, Pernis and Moerdijk refineries are investing a lot in building new plants to deliver green energy, hence we are looking for outstanding individuals which will contribute to these important projects.
As Procurement Specialist you will be part of the Supply Chain Procurement Team supporting a wide variety of procurement activities like sourcing of spare parts, negotiating terms and conditions, expediting critical items and supporting business stakeholders within procurement processes.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:

Interact directly with interesting stakeholders, like Category Leads, Procurement Managers, Schedulers, Engineers, etc.

Support or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives

Have a real business impact regarding Cost Improvements and Supply Chain robustness

Learn and operate top notch procurement systems and business tools

Develop Contracting & Procurement and Material Management skills
Your main accountabilities:

Source Spare Parts, negotiate delivery terms with suppliers, create Purchase Orders

Ensure that (automated) StP (Source to Pay) process runs well end to end by using monitoring tools and resolving any process blockers

Act as Procurement Focal Point for business stakeholders on escalations: Address Procurement issues with Requisitioner, Procurement Staff, Vendors, Tax and Finance.

Support if required Procurement Team in conducting analysis on a regular basis to drive continuous improvement

Track on-time delivery of Spare Parts during execution.

Challenge demand, specification, and cost to deliver savings on a continuous basis

Play an active part within dedicated Category Team consisting of Procurement Managers, Senior Buyers and Business key stakeholders
Requirements:

Strong communication skills & capability of supporting stakeholders under challenging conditions in a multi-cultural environment, both on site as well as in virtual relationships.

Strong analytical skills and goal driven pragmatic issue resolution

Self-starter - ability to learn fast and understand well the business value drivers

Good Dutch and English language skills (min.B2)

Team player with ‘organization-first’ behavior

Nice to have's:

Familiarity with SAP and supporting systems- e.g. Ms Excel

Basic experience with StP process would be an asset, as well as negotiation skills

Basic understanding of refinery manufacturing equipment, material and service needs would be an asset
