Your role

One of the biggest client-facing platform in UBS is looking for is looking for skilled and talented Tech Leader Engineer who will help to leverage top notch and latest IT solutions to build high end user experience.
The person will contribute to the development of UBS Online Services strategic platform (450 microservices) and guide the future evolution of our systems:
•lead teamwork and care about people’s development,
•set and apply best development practices and standards,
•master and utilize state-of-the-art technologies within UBS products (Azure Cloud, K8S, Microservices, Java 11+, React JS, Kafka, Cassandra DB and many others)
•design for today's requirements and care about future evolution of the systems,
•cooperate with UBS Software Labs communities which give an opportunity to develop skills as well as share your knowledge and experiences with others.

UBS Online Services development organization is group of highly skilled and motivated professionals who care about quality and high standards. Teams are accountable for what they do and have a full decisiveness in how they do things. It’s because the work is deeply rooted in best Agile and XP practice. Candidate will be part of fully functional organization located in Wroclaw (Back-End, Front-End, DevOps, QA, IT BA, …) and will be working across Wealth Management Americas organization on a strategic client’s application in UBS.

Your expertise

•leading fully functional Java based development team of 4-12 members,
•team building, leading the development and keeping high standard across the team,
•expertise in Java 11 with knowledge of low-level parts of API like collections, multi-threading, Java concurrency utilities, IO/NIO and Sockets,
•clean coding skills and excellent problem-solving ability,
•fluency in design patterns and refactoring techniques,
•hands on latest cloud & microservice based technologies (Istio, AKS, Ingress, Spring Cloud, ELK, …)
•fluency in Java unit testing / testing frameworks (JUnit / JMock / EasyMock / JMockit ),
•experience with RESTful web services and messaging systems,
•practical knowledge of agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban etc.).
