The opportunity

We are offering a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Agile Coach to help educate the teams which are embarking on the Agile transformation journey. As the Agile Coach you will be responsible for the education, adoption and Agile scaling with Product Delivery Teams (including Project Office, Service Management and Engineering) and Leaders at a Product level, in order to establish a common understanding. This role requires you to have strong communication and facilitation skills and be able to mentor the team members. The ideal candidate will bring a broad range of experiences transforming large enterprises, scaling Agile in complex organizations and carries specific experience in digital technologies and processes at scale.

Your key responsibilities

• In this role you will Promote, Coach and Facilitate in lean thinking and development of Minimal Viable Products (MVP);
• Coach Release Train Engineers, Product Management, Epic Owners at the program level, and coach Scrum Masters and other team leads on their respective functions within an Agile team.
• Deliver formal instruction to others (for example, lead classroom training or certification sessions).
• Evaluate Product Teams Agile and Product maturity and strategies to address gaps.
• Develop product specific coaching and certification plans to mature the Product Teams and leaders’ skills and Agile mindset.
• Coach multiple teams simultaneously by directly observing team activities, guide them through Agile discovery and learning, and help raise and solve impediments which limit team productivity and quality.
• Work in a hands-on manner with the teams as well as in a consultant mode, helping the teams with Agile ceremonies, roles, collaboration and artifacts to reach greater success in project delivery.
• Help identify and coach champions within each functional area, who can continue the maturity journey and act as local mentors/coaches for more junior product/project team members.
• Contribute to the brain-trust of defining end to end processes that support Agile principles.
• Coach Executive level team members in the culture change.
• You may be asked to develop enterprise Agile guidance, training materials, and content to translate industry best practices into actionable recommendations.
• Help lead and mature Communities of Practices and interaction/pollination across IT and the business
• Function as a change agent and evangelist to influence the adoption of Agile practices across EY Technology and the business.
• Help foster a fail-safe, fail-fast environment where multiple experiments lead to the best solution for the end user
• Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to establish consistent metrics and KPIs for measuring progress and effectiveness at team, product and organizational levels.

Skills and attributes for success

We are interested in candidates with an IT background who have deep Agile experience, have coached Agile teams and / or played and integral part in migration to Agile methodology in large enterprises.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience guiding portfolios, product lines, and budgeting in Agile methods.
• Experience transitioning multiple release trains in fast-paced complex environments.
• Experience with at least two large scale (100+ people impacted) Agile transformation efforts
• Proven ability to think strategically, and to communicate the strategy to a large organization.
• Should be able to assess agile maturity of the teams and suggest process improvements.
• Agile Coach Certification

Ideally, you’ll also have

• SAFe Program Consultant certification
• Lean, Kanban, Continuous Improvement, Process experience/certifications
• Active engagement in external agile and product communities with a network of professional contacts outside of the organization
