Accounting/Book-keeping Assistant

MONTHLY BOOK-KEEPING:

  • Calculation of PIT and Social security for each client
  • Dealing with Polish ZUS, Preparation of ZUS declarations in timely manner
  • Filing of VAT returns in timely manner
  • Raising of client  invoices to agency
  • Raising of Fee invoices to client and posting to relevant software package
  • Monthly posting of bank transactions and bank reconciliation of our company bank account in Poland
  • Credit Control for unpaid  fee invoices to clients

ADMINISTRATION:

  • Preparation and completion of self-employed registrations forms for PIT, social security and VAT for clients.
  • Understand of PIT and SI and calculations
  • Verification of documents (Polish and English)
  • Cooperation with the Tax Office and Social Insurance Institution
  • Filing of annual Polish tax returns for contractors
  • General book-keeping for contractors based in Poland
  • Writing procedures and updating online knowledge base
  • Filing of bank statements as received
  • Scanning in relevant post to be saved in relevant folder on server
  • Other General Administration work

EXPERIENCE:

  • Working on own initiative
  • Working as cross-border team member
  • Excellent customer service skills both in person and online
  • SAGE accounting software
  • SLACK
  • Microsoft office including excel and outlook
  • English/Polish fluency – written and spoken
  • Book-keeping for self-employed persons trading in Poland
  • Practical knowledge of EU social security regulations and Polish tax regulations
  • Some Human Resource experience for example dealing with social security claims to authorities (sickness, maternity, long term illness for example)
