Intel’s Research Center in Gdańsk was established in 1999. It is one of Intel’s biggest laboratories in Europe. There is no doubt that the strong university and people skills in region had a big influence on the decision to site such a big Intel research center in Gdansk. . At the beginning of Intel’s activity in Pomerania, Gdansk Centre was mostly a source of well prepared and talented IT specialists and software developers engaged in research and development activities. During its operation the company discovered wider potential in the region and started intensive works on implementing support functions in Gdansk’s center. A good example it is the Human Resources department. It consisted of two employees at the start but, now there are several teams who work together as a HR department and provide help throughout whole EMEA region. Intel’s center in Gdansk is gathering open-minded and talented people who are interested in new technology. The fact that the center continues to expand is in part due to the high caliber of employees we are finding. The success of Intel in Poland is related to the strength and passion of our employees and is a further illustration of Poland’s competitiveness and professionalism in the face of increasing global competition.
