Your role
Would you like to be part of the transformation of the financial industry towards a more sustainable and impactful future? Do you have strong analytical and quantitative skills, and 1 to 5 years work experience in financial research, ESG and/or sustainable finance.
Are you passionate about researching, writing and communicating on sustainability topics? We are extending our Thought Leadership within the UBS Sustainability and Impact Institute and we are looking for someone like you, who wants to:
• grow our clients’ understanding of sustainability topics by exploring and researching some of the most critical current and future trends within the field of sustainable finance
• analyze sustainability-related data and statistics to help identify emergent catalysts for change
• conceptualize, summarize and present analyses in inspiring written content, impactful visuals and concise graphs
• monitor and evaluate developments in sustainability and financial industry standards and share your knowledge with colleagues and clients across the world
• curate and re-purpose existing sustainability-content for publication within the framework of the Institute

Your team
You’ll be working as a member of the UBS Sustainability and Impact Institute, supporting senior members and contributing your own content. Our global team of sustainable finance and research experts, economists and subject matter experts has the ambition to establish UBS as the leader on sustainability and impact within the financial services industry. We look to accomplish this by providing our clients with best in class thought leadership and offering a comprehensive exchange forum that leverages the expertise of leaders to explore the most critical issues and trends related to the future of sustainability. We aim to elevate the conversation about sustainability to make it a core element of the advice and guidance that we provide to our clients.

Your expertise
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental, climate science or sustainability studies, finance, economics or business administration. Professional certifications (CFA, CFA ESG Investing Certificate, CESGA, SCR) preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in research or management consulting, or a similarly quantitative position in a ESG-related role
• a strong understanding of and interest in a broad range of ESG topics, especially those related to the finance industry
• skilled communicator who adapts style to audience and conveys clear, accurate and concise information
• business focused and able to work independently on a broad agenda, with a diverse network of internal clients and across various cultures
• able to deliver on key objectives while working within a hybrid (office/remote) work environment
• self-directed, outcome-oriented, hardworking and collaborative team player
• a skilled English-language writer, other languages are a plus
