Purpose of the Job.

A challenging position in Sales, acting as the primary interface between our customers and the business, supporting and advising our existing customers and working closely with distributors as well as expanding our distribution channels. This position will focus on key industries in the region and maintain our business in these areas. In this position you will lead all aspects of engagements with existing and new customers for our Fixed Gas Detection Business (SST) for all the Accounts based in Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria directly and through Major Channel Partners. You will build relationships and understand customer requirements to provide appropriate products or solutions. You will define a sales and growth strategy toward key sub segments while aligning with critical sales business objectives. You will identify opportunities and build credibility utilizing your product knowledge to deliver the Honeywell value proposition to the customers.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary interface between our customers and distributors and the business
  • Support and advise existing customers, and regularly visit customers within the defined region, supported by a professional sales organization for the European region
  • Independently identify and acquire new customers
  • Work closely with existing distributors as well as reviewing and expanding our distribution network
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with existing customers, distributors and customer advice & support
  • Responsible for developing a sales strategy for a defined region, identifying new and existing sales opportunities; negotiate and close opportunities.

You must have:

  • Min. 3 years direct sales experience dealing with end users and distributors
  • Proven track record in selling to end users in industry, with good exposure to both distribution and direct sales channels
  • Several years experience working within heavy industry environment and if possible safety equipment industry (oil, petrochemical etc, Pharma, chemical)
  • Experience in working in the Gas Detection industry as an advantage
  • Ability to build long-term customer relationships at all levels of an organisation
  • Collect information and inform Marketing function about market requests and competition
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent English (min. B2)
  • Ability to influence at varying levels across the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.

We value:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Significant experience in sales and Key Account Management or Strategic Account Management
