Senior Analyst - Credit Assessment

Job description:

Principal Accountabilities:

Manage Credit Activities:
Responsible for the efficient and effective management of credit risk according to Downstream Credit Manual (DCM) and direction from the credit committee.
Responsible for providing authorised approval for release of credit blocked orders and taking credit decisions.
Ownership & maintenance of 3
rd party contracts in support of credit management activities.
Able to provide support in Credit related matters to countries within the Cluster.

Accounts Receivable
Negotiate & approve refinancing of Overdue Debts.

Debt Recovery
Responsible for identifying when accounts may require legal intervention e.g. If customer files for bankruptcy

Support to Sales
Provide interpretation of policy and guide the businesses on the principles of sound credit management.
Keep up-to-date on issues within the businesses by having close relationships with the sales managers and reading information from industry sources.
Conduct customer visits where required.
General
Provide interpretation of policy and guide less senior colleagues on the principles of sound credit management.
Ensure compliance to MOA and DCM and take responsibility for Audit coordination and business control reviews. This role requires strategic thought processes to be able to implement cross-border credit strategies and contribute/manage high profile projects which involve delivering presentations to very senior internal/external stakeholders.

Cluster Support
On top of the mentioned responsibilities the Senior Credit Analyst provides cluster level support in terms of leading projects, facilitating CVA Network meetings, and point of contact between CBC (Credit Business Operations) and COC (Credit Operations Centre) in terms of questions and cascading information related to the responsible Lines of Business within the cluster.

Requirements:

  • Degree/qualifications in Accounting/Business preferred; a professional degree required
  • PRINCE2 Certified preferred; completion in coming 12 months after starting the role
  • 5 plus years work experience in various Credit Management positions
  • Sound understanding of Financial processes
  • Must have experience in a multi-national company – preferably in Shared Services environment
  • Exhibits excellent English communications skills (written and oral)
  • English Level: C1
  • Good knowledge of controls framework
  • Ability to work under high pressure an in a rapidly changing environment.
