Job description:

To provide HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) leadership, expertise and support for all Lubes Sales & Marketing activities in order to achieve Goal Zero.

This position is a tremendous opportunity to drive Goal Zero through developing culture and behaviours in a multi-cultural virtual environment with significant exposure to variety of stakeholders from frontline to General Managers

This position has the challenge of supporting established working relationships across all the relevant S & M organizations in Europe cluster and providing balanced risk-based support

The main risk to be managed is road safety due to high road exposure from the business team with 8million km driven per annum in the cluster. This requires to be addressed by developing the appropriate awareness and culture.

Accountabilities:

  • To support the HSSE management in Lubricants Europe

  • To ensure compliance to critical HSSE processes

  • Control Framework, the Global and regional lubricants rules.

  • To actively support the sustainability of the HSSE behavioural journey

  • Coordinate delivery of global, regional and local HSSE plans and initiatives.

  • Provide required HSSE trainings and instructions for staff as per Shell and legal requirements

  • Support compliant applications of HSSE practices and tools.

  • To act as an owner of the performance planning and appraisal process for HSSE, including the collection and reporting of performance data and analysis

  • To manage, coordinate and monitor investigation of HSSE incidents/reports.

  • To facilitate regular HSSE engagements with Shell and contractor’s management and supervisors to sustain and improve the HSSE performance and culture

This position may require occasional travel within Europe

Requirements:

  • Good interpersonal & influencing skills and ability to work in a matrix organizational environment, influencing people and delivering results, usually without having formal authority or line responsibility.

  • Track record in HSSE management

  • "Hands on" experience in the preparation of key HSSE management documentation (including HSE-MS) and use of the appropriate techniques (HEMP, Accident Investigation, Auditing)

  • Experience in HSSE Management

  • Experience in working in a virtual team and managing programs

  • Well developed communication skills, ability to build productive internal and external relationships based on trust.

  • English min. C1

  • University degree
