Job description:
Purpose:
The incumbent is primarily focused on transactional activities around manual journals and fixed assets for entities in scope working collaboratively with colleagues in Reporting & Analysis (R&A) and peers from other FO processes and onshore. R&A Finance Analyst role allows to build a deep knowledge and learn various ways of work including tools and systems required in the process.
Accountabilities:
a. Manage close and General ledger accounting, Fixed Asset accounting, Balance sheet account reconciliation and Intra group reconciliation
b. Ensure operational effectiveness of the controls over financial reporting within areas of responsibility
c. Preparation and posting journal entriesd. Support team members in ad hoc tasks, including preparation of various packs and MI information
Dimensions:
1. Working with FAA focals in the business and ensuring timely capitalization of assets, verification of assets and recording of asset related transactions, ultimately resulting in accurate presentation of FAA related information in the financial statements
2. Managing manual journals for countries in scope in full alignment to MJE policy, thresholds and tools defined by the R&A process owner
3. Coordinating visual management sessions for the countries in scope
4. Be a team player and support team members on ad hoc tasks, packs, clean up of overdue balance sheet lines
Requirements:
•Min 5 year of experience in relevant accounting environment
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•Very good knowledge of Excel
•Strong communication skills
•ACCA or CIMA certification would be a strong asset
