About this opportunity

Welcome to the Software Development team. As Big Data Developer, you’ll play a valuable role in creating high-performing, flexible, robust, scalable and easily maintainable global reporting solution for the Bank on Hadoop ecosystem. If you don’t have Hadoop experience, we will give you a chance to gain such knowledge based on your current experience in Scala or Java.

What you’ll be doing:

• Be responsible for a successful design and implementation of a high-performing, flexible, robust, scalable and easily maintainable global reporting solution for the bank
• Deliver reports to all 10M customers in the Nordics
• Continuously develop the application
• Solve complex problems on a daily basis

You’ll join a team of experts and people passionate about Big Data. The role is based in Warsaw, but you can also choose Gdynia.

Your experience and background:

• Knowledge and experience in Scala (at least 6 months) or Java (at least 2 years)
• Understanding of the principles of distributed systems
• Basic knowledge about functional programming
• Knowledge of SQL
• Good English both written and spoken
• Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark and Kubernetes would be a plus
