Role Purpose:
This position is responsible to support various components of the Global FP&A team: Commercial Finance (Market Affiliates), Enterprise FP&A (HQ), and Functional FP&A (HQ). This position will lead the Planning & Analysis team in both developing and managing numerous processes on a global scale. The support of the Planning & Analysis team will assist Global Leadership in making key business decisions using standard, reliable data and reporting. This person is responsible for leading the Planning & Analysis staff in their day-to-day execution, reviewing and approving key work products, as well as acting as the lead on several global initiatives as described in further detail below. The position will report directly to HQ in Ada, Michigan, US
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the Planning & Analysis team in the development of the FP&A Center of Excellence (a new concept for Amway), balancing a lift-and-shift approach of existing processes, while optimizing and innovating where appropriate
- Ensure a successful and expedient transition of current processes by assisting in the development of a detailed transition timeline; identity high- and low periods of work product bandwidth, and structure individual responsibilities accordingly
- Ensure all financial deliverables and reports are presented in an accurate and timely manner; deliver regular reporting for the use of the Markets, Enterprise FP&A, the Global Leadership Team (GLT), and to the Board of Directors
- Obtain a robust understanding of current reporting being performed across the Markets and develop a recommended approach to standardization on a global scale
- Develop and own the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Business Plan models, providing the Markets and HQ with informed targets that the Enterprise can then set strategies against; responsible for base model assumptions and accuracy
- Assist in the development of Enterprise and Market level financial Outlooks, providing a recommendation to the Markets and Enterprise FP&A
- Take the lead on various analytical requests from the Markets and Enterprise FP&A, providing information in an accurate and timely manner
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement upgraded tools to support the planning process (including the assessment of a new Planning Software Tool)
- Provide input and assist in developing annual Department goals and objectives, which should align with Divisional and Enterprise priorities; ensure that the objectives of individual contributors on the team align with those goals

- Recruitment participation; help develop professional staff and lead a high performing team
- Develop goals, objectives and performance expectations
- Day-to-day team leadership and prioritization
Accountabilities:
- Performs advanced financial analyses and modeling, taking into consideration known risks and opportunities
- Understands business implications and the interdependencies of the various Enterprise strategies
- Thorough knowledge of Amway’s financial systems to modify or optimize current processes
- Develops non-standard reporting primarily by way of an analytical approach
- Based on business needs, represents and/or leads the team in advanced financial projects and programs on an ad hoc basis
Profile we look for
Required Knowledge & Skills and/or Related Experience:
- 8 years’ experience in financial analysis with at least 3 years’ experience leading a team
- Advanced English proficiency
- Advanced MS Excel and MS Access knowledge; proficient in Hyperion
- Strong financial background (Financial Planning & Analysis experience preferred)
- Experience in Process Improvement
- Customer service oriented
- Strong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple projects
- Data visualization
