Key activities
We are looking for a Back-office Support Financial Analyst who will focus on financial support for Global functions (i.e. Finance, HR, Legal).
Job Purpose:
This role is responsible to execute planning and reporting processes globally for the areas of responsibility (function / unit).
Including the preparation and presentation of financial analysis and recommendations to business partners to support informed decision-making. You will be responsible for helping those partners effectively manage the business, evaluate projects and related returns, maximize profitability, and track against budget.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing financial data to account for financial transactions and/or make financial assessments. This includes but is not limited to: income, expenses, operating cost, rate of return, working capital, investments, and budget balance and variance analysis. Determines rationale for identified variances.
- Assesses viability, stability, cost efficiency, and profitability of the business unit, and/or assigned projects and programs
- Prepares annual operating plans (budgets) and monitors business performance against these plans by unit, division or brand.
- Prepares short and long-term financial projections to facilitate management review of operations, capital appropriations, business strategies, etc.
- Prepares financial analyses, schedules and reports for internal use.
- Responsible for the adherence to and communication of applicable regulatory and operational policies, requirements, and procedures.
- May design, develop, install, and/or maintain operational specifications for financial information systems, considering such things as information requirements and reporting capability
Profile we look for
- 5+ years of Finance experience
- Bachelor Degree required
- CPA, CMA or MBA a plus
- Advanced English
- Advanced Excel
Required Skills:
Developing grasp of the following core skill set:
- Understanding of general financial principles, accounting and working knowledge of GAAP, and how to apply these principles.
- Ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
- Effectively communicating and presenting complex financial data (both verbally and written) to influence all levels and global audiences; helps others understand financial data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective and productive relationships, including ability to influence, negotiate and manage conflicts effectively and constructively with clients, vendors and peers.
- Ability to effectively provide technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; knowledge of applicable tools and techniques to maximize consulting effectiveness.
- Ability to formulate conclusions and recommendations using facts and data, financial and business analysis, deductive reasoning and sound judgment.
- Ability to pay attention to details while working with several variables
