Money laundering is the process by which the illegal origin of wealth is disguised to avoid the suspicion of law enforcement authorities. The Business Support Unit plays a critical role In Citi’s Global AML control life cycle and dedicated to the prevention of money laundering through building and adhering to a robust Know Your Customer (KYC) program. Its primary responsibility is the research, preparation, development, due diligence and approval of the electronic KYC Record and supporting appendices in partnership with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to ensure Citi conducts business in a responsible manner and adheres to local & global regulatory requirements.
Knowledge/Experience:
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in banking, finance or law
- Experience in control/risk or Compliance (AML/KYC) function (an advantage)
- Knowledge and experience of the technologies and processes used in Citi Knowledge of local regulatory KYC/AML requirements (an advantage)
- Proficient use of Microsoft Applications ( Word, Excel, Access)
- Languages- English on advanced level, other language a plus (German, French, Spanish, Arabic etc.)
- Pro-active, flexible, have good organizational skills and must be team player
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
