We are looking for someone like you, who can:
• understand complex data flows
• effectively assess the design and operating effectiveness of data controls
• design, coordinate and implement analytical tests and solutions (including automation) to support audit execution and innovation initiatives
Your team
You will be working in the Group Internal Audit (GIA) Team in Poland / Krakow. GIA is an independent function that supports UBS in achieving its strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives. We do this by assessing key processes as well as governance, risk management, and the control environment within all Business Divisions and Corporate Center Functions globally. We are independent in our work and report directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.

As a member of the Models, Valuations and Market Risk Audit you will work supporting auditors in executing audit work in particular related to data quality controls by (i) analyzing the relevant data structure, sourcing and feeds, (ii) identifing and evaluating the effectiveness of controls designed to mitigate data quality risks including timeliness, completeness and correctness, and (iii) providing advices and best practice to resolve issues identified in the business. In that role, you will gain insight into a wide variety of the Firm’s processes and related risks.
The position is based in Zabierzow k/ Krakow.
Your expertise
• a master's degree in a field requiring strong quantitative skills such as experimental science, engineering, econometric, and / or 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• experience in: (i) working with complex databases, data acquisition and data mining, (ii) data visualization and (iii) managing data feed quality across the data timeliness, completeness and correctness dimensions.
• experience in IT audit, technology risk management or internal control areas related to technology and ability to identify and assess risks related to data, and propose sustainable mitigating controls will be an asset
• an excellent verbal and written command of English
• ability to quickly understand complex processes and challenge the status quo, identify risks and inadequacies in procedures, as well as propose practical and sustainable solutions
• strong analytical skills and risk-based approach to problem solving – you are able to quickly understand complex processes and challenge the status quo
• Intellectual curiosity to discover all aspects of the Bank and willingness to keep up with industry, regulatory developments and learn new concepts and methods
• comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• methodical, concise and accurate, with strong attention to details, while remaining focused on initial objective
• coding experience (e.g. VBA, Python, R, SQL) and/or script build through Alteryx would be an asset
