Position: National Sales Manager/Head Poland

Scope: Direct hire / full time position

Business language: Polish, English and/or German

Reporting line: AMC Distributor in Poland

Direct reports: The sales team in Poland

Location: The Sales Manager will be based in the Poland head office in Warsaw and work mostly in the field

AMC and background:

  • AMC is an international manufacturer and direct marketer of high-quality, premium consumer goods with its HQ in Switzerland. The corporation operates on an international level and has subsidiaries in many countries, not only in EU, but globally.
  • The company has over 15 million customers listed in the customer base and is a market leader in their field with more than 10,000 sales representatives globally. As usual in direct sales many of those employees are freelance sales agents. The company’s turnover is on a three-digit million level and is highly profitable.
  • The company is systematically driving expansion, not only internationally but also in extending the brand into new segments and targeting new consumers. At the same time the company is introducing digital marketing and sales processes, in order to exploit new ways in communication with the consumer and also to generate synergies in sales processes, incl. added benefits for the sales agents.
  • AMC is managing their Poland business with a local Exclusive Distributor, he is looking for a new country sales head, focusing on business building and organizational development.

Specific challenges of this position:

The role is basically focusing on two typical direct sales challenges, which need an entrepreneurial approach:

  • Expanding the national Poland team via recruitments and building new and sustainable sales structures throughout Poland to support sustainable growth. This organizational development role is the key responsibility focus of this role
  • In parallel managing the buildup of the future sales force team on a national level and securing future sales
  • New ideas / concepts will need to be implemented to further drive sales locally and in part in a community-targeted way. Social media and other tools can be used to a full extent

Position purpose:

  • Develop sustainable and profitable growth in Poland by building the Poland sales organization
  • Develop national sales team structures with a long-term and sustainable sales approach
  • Develop and implement creative customer-oriented sales approaches / concepts

Key Tasks & Accountabilities:

1. Lead organizational development

  • Sustainable and long-term development of a country leadership team
  • Evaluation and development of leadership potentials together with local managers
  • External recruiting and/or promotion of further sales line managers in coordination with HQ
  • Legal support regarding local labor law
  • Training scheme and systematic follow up of the training measures

2. Lead entire sales & marketing activities in Poland

  • Systematic development of national business unit
  • Close presence in the field to understand customer needs and evaluate methods and adjust if necessary
  • Direct promotion of recruitment initiatives in the field
  • Sustainable, long-term development of local sales structures and sales areas
  • Implementation and training of new campaigns and incentives
  • Ensuring a smooth cooperation and use of resources between the international HQ’s marketing and the local sales force
  • Representation of the Poland team at management meetings, special events and product launches
  • Delivering ideas for marketing measures like assortment & pricing policy, special sales promotions, hostess gifts & sample set policy

Job requirements:

Functional skills:

  • Operational sales experience and expertise in tactical sales planning
  • Extensive expertise and experience in leadership and employee development
  • Preferably operational experience in direct marketing organizations and direct sales models with "on-site expertise", ideally in B2C direct sales business models
  • Experience in dealing with KPI-based sales management and the corresponding reporting systems
  • Experience in recruiting and training and in organizational / structural development
  • Handling of CRM tools and campaigns as well as digital administration and planning processes

Personal skills:

  • Strong and charismatic personality with leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Hands-on and results-driven and at the same time excellent in communication
  • High emotional intelligence, capable to inspire and motivate people
  • Able to create a work environment and culture that fosters high performance
  • Determined to achieve the set targets
  • Flexible and yet assertive
  • Preferably knowledge or interest in nutrition matters/cooking

Qualifications:

  • University degree in marketing, sales, business administration or similar
  • Experience as a people trainer
  • Polish as a mother tongue or on a native speaker level
  • Fluent in English and/or German
  • Familiar with local customs and mentality in Poland

Key requirements:

  • The ideal candidate should perceive direct sales as a people-based business and should display
    • passion about customers
    • passion about recruiting, training and developing people
    • passion about sales (“field person”)
    • interest in cooking or nutrition preferable
  • The expectation is to build and grow the local business and team
