Internal Audit Manager EMEA
Why is this job for You:
You will lead the team of experienced internal auditors and manage internal audit projects at IP locations across EMEA. The scope of the role gives you exposure to senior leaders in the business across EMEA and allows getting deeper understanding of variety areas of International Paper business. You will also contribute to constant development of internal audit function by leading quality improvement initiatives and creating a continuous improvement mindset within the team.
You will:
- Conducting and coordinating annual risk assessments and resource planning
- Assisting with development of strategic audit plan through risk based analyses
- Completion of assigned areas of annual audit plan
- Managing, coordinating and completing audit engagements
- Managing complex reviews including audits in various areas (operational, financial, IT, fraud)
- Assessing ratings and reporting on findings/reviews of controls environments
- Identifying areas for improvement and developing specific recommendations
- Developing stakeholders relationships, providing consulting services to Company management and identify best practices, profit improvement and cost savings opportunities
- Direct supervising and mentoring audit team
- Managing and ensure training of the audit team
- Managing and leading Internal Audit initiatives as directed by the Audit Lead Team: Quality Process (QAP), Training Team, ACL, Safety, etc. or similar strategic or operational initiatives
- Developing and implementing audit practices/new programs
- Assisting in SOX 404 documentation, controls design assessments and reviews of testing methodology
- Providing expertise of policy, procedures, internal control concepts, and internal audit processes
You have:
- More than 8 years of experience in finance area including 4 years of experience in internal or external audit within an international company (Big 4 experience will be an asset)
- 2-3 years of experience in leading a team
- SOX experience
- Excellent auditing skills
- Excellent technical financial skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of data analytics tools would be beneficial
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of additional European language (Italian, French, Spanish, Polish, Turkish or Russian) would be beneficial
- Ability to travel up to 40%
