The applicant must be able to demonstrate technical expertise and have worked in a Production environment.

Strength in customer service skills, including reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy are essential to ensure courteous and efficient services are provided. The ability to manage a tense situation and take ownership of issues is a must. They will enjoy working in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. Some 'out of hours' support will be required on a rota basis

The role is to manage the Wroclaw side of a virtual team combined with London, providing support to the WM UK business, plus a wider role of overseeing the relevant workforce in Wroclaw. Primary responsibilities will be to maintain a stable Production environment and work on business requests along an ITIL framework of Incident, Problem & Change Management, together with Request Fulfilment. In addition it will be also required to do some project work, supporting new business initiatives to implement changes into Production. For example regulatory and discretionary.

The successful candidate will have strong management experience in a Production environment and be keen to lead new initiatives to make the team more efficient, such as Automation and the migration to Cloud.

An Application Support Team Lead is required by a leading Wealth Management Bank to assist in the rollout of enhancements to their Front Office Platform and provide support for the current systems.

Your expertise

You are someone who has:
- Experience in the banking sector
- Good communication skills
- A desire to develop your career along a technical route
- Recent and proven experience of UNIX must be strong, WebSphere & Tomcat again strong, Oracle SQL, MQ & Shell scripting
- Development/change experience, as this would add an extra dimension to the current team's strengths
- Strong applications troubleshooting experience
- A flexible approach to working hours and role

In addition, it would be desirable for you to demonstrate;

- Previous experience of PowerCenter, Perl, Assentis, SQL Server, NT Batch Files, VB, Control-M Scheduling tool, OnDemand, strong MS Office skills especially Excel.
