Your role

In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Developing a web application for delivering on the business needs,
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use,
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability,
• Implementation of security and data protection.

Your team

You'll be working in UBS Wealth Management Americas (WMA) IT organization. We are looking for someone to work in our Technology team to focus on the new multi-year technology initiative to revamp and enhance one of our SW platforms. We are responsible for providing the core applications used by the Financial Advisors, branch support staff, and the home office team. We are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of these applications. It is a development tech role that entails working with teams in US and Hungary, and other partner teams in multiple geographic locations around the world.

Your expertise

• Proficient knowledge of JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as ReactJS, Redux, Node.js, D3.js as well as HTML5, CSS3.
• Excellent understanding of JavaScript ES6,
• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors (Less, Sass),
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application and familiarity with RESTful Services,
• Broad knowledge about web world, trends, emerging technologies and architectures,
• Knowledge of dev tools like npm, WebPack
• Ability to implement unit tests,
• Understanding of Git, experience with JIRA, GitHub and CI tools like TeamCity and Jenkins.
