Internal Communication Senior Lead

Job description:

You will be responsible for leading the Internal Communications (IC) Programmes team in Krakow, driving strategic change communications, functional excellence and continuous improvement in the delivery of IC activities performed by the team.

You will lead a team of up to approximately 12 IC Programmes Advisers and reports to the IC Programmes Manager. As a IC Programmes Senior Lead you will be responsible for managing and developing the team, motivating them to perform at their best.

This role is within the Internal Communications Centre of Excellence (CoE) established to develop and execute Shell’s internal communications strategy on a global basis. The IC CoE supports the delivery of Shell’s business goals and priorities by ensuring consistency in strategy, systems, processes and tools across corporate, business and functional internal communications. The key objectives of the IC CoE are to: connect staff with Shell’s strategy to ensure each employee understands their personal contribution to the company’s success; connect leaders with staff at all levels to strengthen employee engagement and motivation and drive a high-performance culture; and connect the organisation with the external world and customers.

Your key responsibilities:

  • End to end development of change communications plans and the delivery until business as usual to give back to the IC Business Interface

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of IC Programmes Advisers

  • Ensure delivery by the team, including the identification and tracking of key KPI’s

  • Liaise with IC COE colleagues to ensure integration and delivery of activities performed by the team

  • Act as the first escalation point for the team, partnering with (senior) stakeholders and IC COE members to ensure expectations are met at the quality levels required

  • Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities as well as options to refine the delivery model

  • Providing coaching, support and constructive challenge to senior stakeholders

  • Effectively prioritizing a large volume of ongoing and ad hoc work requests from multiple stakeholders within resource and time constraints

Requirements:

  • Background in (Internal) Communications or related subject like PR, Marketing is an asset

  • Experience in effectively leading a team

  • Ability to deliver through others and develop the capabilities of others

  • Able to work in a multi-cultural, global environment in a virtual team

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills

  • Good influencing and communication skills

  • Track record of project delivery

  • English min. C1 is a must
