Retail Frontline Capability Development

Job description:

The individual needs to be passionate about people and learning and have an ability to deliver though others and driving results through the careful management of Internal & external partners.


Developing Frontline Capability is critical to enabling the delivery of the 2025 Retail Ambitions and is a key area of focus moving forward. You as a Frontline Capability Development Manager would develop and deploy the roadmap for improving capability and effectiveness, covering our Sales and Operational Frontline, our On-site frontline Partners, their Site Managers and Service Champions; and, our Off-site Operations teams, all focused on growing the business and delivering the Retail Ambition.

You will work closely with the markets to identify capabilities needs or gaps and communicate these requirements to The Learning and Development team, to create suitable learning solutions to upskill the frontline teams.

Detailed responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the Deployment of the TM and DM Fundamentals based on the new Downstream Commercial Competence Framework to be able to deliver the Retail Ambition; where TMs/DMs are empowered and enabled, skilled up to become credible and trusted commercial advisors and coaches to partners

  • Develop and oversee the Deployment of Operations Manager Fundamentals to enable a smooth Onboarding of new Operations managers and enhanced speed to autonomy.

  • Develop and deploy the Business Improvement Cycle (BIC), a standardized way of working for our TMs/DMs to ensure quality, consistency, and continuity of improving site performance and partner delivery.

  • Embedding the New Ways of Working to support BIC and develop commercial/business skills and professionalism

  • Develop and deploy Coaching methodlogy primarily to the DM population to develop and support a coaching culture for our Sales and Operations frontline

  • Monitor progress and effectiveness of the program

  • Deploy Peak Performance program in new markets (including indirect) in area of coverage

  • For our on-site frontline (Partners, Site Managers and Service Champions), develop and deploy a program to professionalize and improve their capability

  • Develop and enhance the measures of success for all programs, so ensuring ongoing support and use from all frontline staff

Requirements:

  • Ideally experienced in a Learning & Development role and have Retail and/or Indirect Channel knowledge

  • English min. C1

  • Learning and development knowledge

  • Project Management

  • Stakeholder Management

  • Retail and Operational Knowledge

  • Supplier Relationship Management

  • Collaborative skills

  • P & L Management
