Order to Delivery Manager
Work location: Shell Energy Campus, Czerwone Maki 85

Job description:

Your main goal would be to lead, motivate and inspire the scheduling teams of road transport deliveries over DACH cluster (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) in order to deliver cost competitive, secure and compliant fuels transportation to Retail & B2B.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead and inspire the Area / Hub team that manages the ordering, scheduling, delivering and administrating of road transport deliveries to Retail and B2B

  • Based on global and local strategy, develop and drive Order to Delivery strategy and ensure that this is fully aligned with stakeholders, e.g. Supply, Retail/Marketing, B2B and other Line of Business

  • Ensure a proper balance between cost, safety and customer service

  • Liaise with Transport Contract Manager to optimize transport capacity and budget

  • Use scheduling performance data/KPIs to optimise transport services, targets and resources, e.g. cost performance, stock-outs, product gains/losses

  • Manage related distribution administration; take full responsibility for the achievement of agreed KPIs and their measurement; give input to the Operating Plan

  • Coordinate with various Lines of Business (LoBs), particularly with Marketing and Supply, the management of demand rationing, if required

  • Liaise with other LoBs and act as distribution interface with the markets, including negotiation of Service Level Agreements

  • Provide and manage resources for the implementation of and effective use of SAP, CROSS and other IT packages in support of the order fulfilment process

  • Give input to performance improvement, best practice initiative projects, and manage their implementation


Key/Special Challenges:

  • Build solid relationships between Order to Delivery and Supply and LoBs in order to ensure alignment of overall strategy

  • Managing the multiple interfaces with partners and customers; thinking in terms of “Enterprise first” and adopting E2E behaviours whilst supporting implementation across different types of businesses

  • Delivering OtD targets and performance for DACH countries

Dimensions:
Headcount: 35 FTE's , 3 direct reports
Retail sites/Customers: 2200; 40 Depots; 9 Hauliers; 300 Trucks;

Requirements:

  • Master or equivalent degree in logistics, economics or business administration or equivalent experience

  • Experience Team Leadership and Logistics/Supply Chain

  • English min. C1

  • German would be an asset

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Very good analytical skills

  • Managing business performance

  • Change management

  • Ability to Motivate, coach and develop

  • Ability to Deliver results through others
