Responsibilities:

• Review (and some preparation) of financial statements for companies and trusts in a variety of jurisdictions.
• Ensuring accuracy of financial statements and providing constructive feedback to the preparers of the financial statements
• Performing control function in the process
• Preparation and review of tailored investments reports
• Investigating and resolving complicated reporting issues
• Managing reporting deadlines
• Liaison with external auditors
• Contribute to the department's development of best practices
• Build and maintain relationship with business partners across the globe
• Identifying inefficiencies, risks and control gaps in the process and developing and implementing changes to eliminate them

Requirements:

• ​Accounting / finance or related university degree
• Professional qualification in accountancy or financial reporting an advantage
• Previous experience in financial reporting (preparation /review/ analysis), audit or accountancy is a must - minimum 4 years
• Practical knowledge of accounting standards (including IFRS) would be an asset
• Solid understanding of financial instruments and capital markets
• Property lettings accounting experience is an advantage
• Investment funds / Trust experience is an advantage
