• Technical Lead for a critical compliance applications and work out the product strategy and roadmap
• Deliver technical change to the Control Room suite of applications by guaranteeing accurate, on-time execution, adherence to quality standards, timely and accurate reporting while managing issues and risks
• Engage Business & IT Stakeholders and partners to co-author and co-create solutions and contribute to define priorities
• Manage application delivery team and enforce Enterprise Application design standards as well as adherence to SDLC guidelines and policies (Agile/Iterative)
• Contribute to best practices for creating elegant, efficient, and reusable code
• Suggest and implement controls to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the systems, processes, team structures.
• Orchestrate and manage the change portfolio and deliver the work within time, budget and quality thresholds
• Provide project estimates to Project Manager regarding the development effort of your project
• Connect with all other IT SPMs to explore and develop synergies, cross-leverage opportunities to meet our business needs in the most cost effective but sustainable way.
• Implement tools and best practices for release, environment, and configuration management to improve deploy success rates.
• Identify and work with people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements
• Collaborate with other global IT and cross-functional teams to work towards global IT solutions

Your team

You’ll be working in the Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance and Group Internal Audit (GCRG & GIA) Tech team based in Kraków facing key stakeholders. Our role is to innovate, design and implement IT solutions for Compliance Control Room functions which assist in maintenance of Grey and Restricted Lists, Group's Information Barriers, Research Conflict Clearance and feed many key control platforms. We are a global IT team supporting internal clients throughout the world.

Your expertise

• A bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or related field of study
• Multi-year experience working on design and development of enterprise software in a distributed environment within the financial services industry - preferably in investment banking and compliance related projects
• Previous experience in people management
• Strong database skill – SQL, PL/pgSQL - PostgreSQL preferred or any similar database technologies
• Deep understanding of all aspects of the application development (SDLC) and support life cycle
• Able to give solutions by thoroughly analyzing the flow of data across different layers and technologies
• Extensively worked on database with good knowledge on various performance tuning techniques
• Knowledge of Java technologies including authentication and authorization (e.g. SSO and LDAPs)
• Knowledge on Unix Shell scripting and scheduler tools like Autosys, Control-M etc.; and/or on at least one ETL tool preferable Informatica - nice to have
• Strong visual design skills with good understanding of user-system interaction
• Able to communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders and should be able to handle teams across multiple regions and ensure to drive the delivery seamlessly
• Knowledge of Spring framework, ReactJS, JPA is a plus
