Your role will be part of a small team in the fastest-growing business at State Street (Alternative Investment Solutions). With a presence in Ireland, Boston and recently Poland, the AIS Information Security Team supports over 5,000 employees across 32 countries. The team supports all aspects of the Information Security framework, and liaises with many different business areas to provide an elite Information Security program.

What you will be responsible for

As Information Security Specialist you will

  • Provide guidance to business leads to ensure alignment between business unit-level procedures and CIS Policy
  • Monitor information security compliance of business processes
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly reports demonstrating program activities, project progress, issues and resolutions for senior and executive management
  • Coordinate Critical Tools Reviews, recurring LAN Folder Access Review activities and Application Access and Entitlement Reviews
  • Develop project plans, timelines, the monitoring of project achievements, deployment, and project closure
  • Support process and application owners in the remediation of identified business control failures (including CATS/audit issues)
  • Work with Operations Leads to onboard (and retire) ‘high risk’ applications from the Identity and Access Management Application inventory
  • Ensure ‘high risk’ application controls are performed and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) metrics are provided to program management leads when requested
  • Coordinate the resolution of problematic access, including segregation of duties violations
  • Coordinate process to support removal of user access for terminated and transferred employees
  • Work with BU Managers and employees transitioning to the new bank-wide automated Access Management System
  • Represent the team on various Working Group calls and Committees
  • Assist in disseminating information and policies ensuring employees are aware of and comprehend the latest governance quality standards and monitoring requirements
  • Exercise oversight of AIS’s policies, standards, and practices the creation and maintenance of effective internal controls and the implementation of corrective actions to address any process and control deficiencies
  • Exercise good judgment with regards to matters of significance such as project coordination, risk management and controls execution

  • Ambitious and able to balance tasks with minimal supervision

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of Information Security and/or Financial Services experience
  • Knowledge of Macros/VBA, Power Query, and/or Power BI a plus
  • Knowledge of SharePoint – List Building, Views, Workflows, Permissions, InfoPath a plus
