Job description:

Purpose & Accountabilities:

Compliant and consistent delivery of Shell Group Brand Standards and associated Brand Policies, ultimately to support the delivery of the ‘One Brand’ strategy - critical to build, protect and strengthen the Shell Brand. Support the busy Brand Standards and Assurance team to deliver efficient, effective Brand Identity Policy advice through the AskBrand Questions service (~8000 questions per year), and manage/input into related brand and design projects

External Relations Krakow was created in 2019 to provide communications, public affairs and business advice support to Shell’s global businesses, country and corporate teams that work to strengthen Shell’s brand, the company’s reputation and its license to operate and grow. The $47 billion Shell brand is the company’s most valuable asset. The AskBrand team plays a key role to build and protect the Shell Brand, helping manage and advise on effective, coherent and compliant application of Shell Brand Standards.

The AskBrand team manages brand related projects, and responds to thousands of brand related questions annually on subjects which include: communications, merchandise, packaging, naming and sub-brands, events, vehicles, and 3rd party use of the Shell brand. The AskBrand team helps resolve these questions by either directly helping the customer, or connecting with the right colleagues to effectively resolve the question.

Requirements:

We’re looking for a brand enthusiast who can be an ambassador for creative, compliant Brand Standards excellence, and help customers, agencies and teams around the world with their diverse brand related questions and projects.

Key ER competencies for the role include business partnering and stakeholder management. The successful candidate needs to be inquisitive, analytical, strong logic and problem-solving mindset, have a high attention to detail and be happy to provide challenge where she/he identifies opportunities for improvement/optimisation. The successful candidate will be quick to learn the complex business and an active self-starter.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide quality and effective responses to brand related questions received through the AskBrand service, advising on the most effective Brand Identity approach to meet objectives, in line with Group Brand Standards, based on Group Brand Policies,

  • Meet ongoing the target 24-hour customer response targets >95% of queries

  • Operate the online AskBrand tool alongside e-mail, making recommendations for continuous improvement of processes and ways of working. Provide data analysis, sharing trends, insights and recommendations with the wider Brand Standards team

  • Excellent stakeholder management and network building capabilities, in order to connect AskBrand customers with the right mix of people to resolve brand questions – forging connections across all LOBs, functions, legal, ER, and beyond.

  • Manage relevant brand projects, engagements, meetings, trainings and other affinity workstreams with key Shell stakeholders and partner agencies

  • Develop knowledge of, and relationships with creative agencies and other suppliers of brand services

  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential
