Key responsibilities:
- Assess and test Operations process & controls flows on a recurring basis; remain with a strong risk management mindset
- Establish a consistent defect and near miss incident tracking process and take direct acco untability for
- Drive “professional productivity” including Map and Measure constant recertification process, Manual Touch Points reduction
- Identify opportunities for Digitization and Automation including RPA opportunities
- Drive Process re-engineering, standardization and feasibilities analysis along with global product operations leaders
- Establish a meaningful approach to measuring the Client Experience, Leveraging KPIs
- Play a key role in the formation of the Operations 2020 vision and strategic roadmap
- Drive design and implementation of new operating model for Operations, and associated processes and procedures
- Implement best practices and global consistency, simplifying & standardizing working with Global Funds Operations Managers and Leads

- Work in a complex regulatory environment supporting 5 jurisdictions (UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Jersey and Luxembourg)
- Play a key role in designing the Warsaw CPB Ops Middle Office function as a senior officer layer to interact as intermediary and point of contact for managing Front Office escalations and urgencies; once established, directly participate in effectively performing defined MO function in order to continuously aim ever increasing client satisfaction but at the same time ensuring stable and risk controlled Ops processing
- Secure stable and efficient Sanctions process for the transaction flow under management
- Supporting Banking Ops Head in running the Unit
Knowledge / experience / mindset
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in the financial industry, specifically within Operations
- Minimum 4 years of experience in team management
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferably in economics, finance, accounting or mathematics
- Strong leadership skills
- Track record in managing staff or people managers and true development of team members
- Very good communication skills including strong verbal and writing business English capacity
- Strong customer oriented mindset and able to help deliver solutions when speaking with clients
- Preferably knowledge of industry funds processing platforms (Swift etc.)
- Strong expertise in both PowerPoint & Excel (Advanced)
- Sense of urgency, quick in action
- Flexible, able to spot irregularity and react promptly and adequately
- Persistent, ready to actively follow up and escalate if needed
- Well-organized, working to tight deadlines
- Sense for independent work and good team player
