Job description:
Purpose and Accountabilities:
• Timely and accurate processing – take ownership and initiative until transaction is successfully and accurately processed
• Thoroughly check work prior to completion of posting to avoid unnecessary corrections
• Ensure that invoices are posted
• Maintain functional mailboxes according to deadlines and proactively resolve issues
• Run required accounts reconciliation and advise appropriate adjustments
• Understand and account for withholding tax and VAT and CIT
• Collate and input data with a high level of accuracy and in accordance with Service Level Agreements
• Answer stakeholders requests for information in a helpful and friendly way
• Input information into systems, maintain and update account records
• Communicate with internal and external customer in an effective and efficient manner
• Act as an effective team player
• Maintain and implement agreed self-development plan
• Ensure that all relevant Shell and SSSC standards and guidelines are met;
• Compliance to SOX rules and guidelines
• Carry out other assignments assigned by the supervisors
Requirements:
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Min 1 year of experience in a relevant accounting environment
• Obtained economic, accounting or finance university degree/qualifications, or equivalent courses with experience
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Outlook Broad accounting knowledge
• Very good English (written and oral)
• Very good French (written and oral) B2 level minimum is a must
• Good knowledge of accounting controls
• Desired knowledge of SAP accounting system
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
