We're looking for a Java Technical Lead for a firm-wide risk compute platform in the investment banking area. You'll be responsible for leading a strong team of 6+ professionals in Warsaw, developing a strategic component to centrally perform risk calculations spanning end-of-day official batches, intraday “real-time risk” and on-demand user requests for all Markets.

You'll have a chance to contribute by implementing best development principles, leading Citi towards cloud computing and scalability. We work on Java 8, Docker and Openshift with a great focus on performance.

The successful candidate will be expected to help design the application at low level with a good amount of hands-on coding and contribute to higher level architecture decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and develop our product features to deliver scalable compute services spanning all asset classes using the quant library interfaces.

• Provide guidance and influence over team members to ensure their productivity.

• Take accountability for team decisions leading to buildout of a successful product.

• Active involvement in the full agile development lifecycle from analysis and design through to deployment and (3rd line) production support

• Working closely with the project manager to maintain high quality governance and transparency, and deliver to detailed plans

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in application development role on both hands-on and leadership positions.

• Expert understanding of core Java and distributed system design

• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects

• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

• Master’s degree preferred
