Who we are looking for:

We’re looking for developer, who will be part of our new project related to Python governance in our company. This role requires to be self-driven and motivated. As we’re creating unique solution, we will be looking for out of the box thinking and developing Proof of Concepts in timely manner. You will required to follow our development and CIS standards, to meet all audit requirements. You will be working in GMAS team which is part of IT Automation organization.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Work on a new project that will implement controlled environment for running Python automations on End User machines.

  • Work on creating system for packaging, distributing and maintaining Python packages.

  • Maintain packages that are allowed for use in our environment.

  • Perform process that allows use of external Open Source packages in our environment.

  • Help creating internal libraries that will interface internal systems.

  • Perform analysis of requirements and propose solutions to meet project goals.

  • Ensure development efforts in conjunction with core State Street goals.

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for non-IT automation specialists.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-plus years’ experience of Python development

  • Creating end user Python automations and applications

  • Experience with distributing Python scripts in controlled and read-only environment

  • Experience with creating, maintaining and distributing Python packages is a plus

  • Proficient use of Git source control

  • Experience with .Net development is a plus

  • Experience in Financial Services is a plus

  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, time management, and communication skills

  • Familiarity of Agile development methods

  • Very good English

  • BA (required), MA (a plus)
