We are looking for experienced External Relations/PR expert whose responsibilities will include:

Development and delivery of a suite of materials (written, images, film, powerpoint, speaker’s notes, data) including the sourcing of data from a wide variety of Shell businesses and functions.

Development and delivery of energy transition narrative, and other narratives, based on various global narratives but with specific local policy supporting content,

Day to day management of content delivery for digital channels: Twitter, LinkedIn and www.shell.co.uk.

Development of content for digital campaigns, applying a campaign mindset, always seeking maximum Return on Investment for every item of content, considering factors such as sharability, opportunities for repurposing – always looking for high quality of engagement over reach.

To contribute to the development of a content strategy that will support the Reputation objectives and deliver impactful content via the right channels.

To bring examples of best practice into the team that can support creative thinking.
Requierments:

Experience of writing in English (min. level C1 preferably C2) for a variety of audiences and in a variety of styles, including colloquial, with tangible impact. The level of written English needs to be excellent. They will need to understand and convey subtle messaging, and speak in different tones to target a variety of native English stakeholders demonstrating an understanding of their various needs and interests.

Experience of managing agencies, briefing on design and production projects and managing to ensure high quality, cost effective outputs.

Experience of developing concise and shareable content for social media and media campaigns (esp Twitter and LinkedIn).

Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including excellent writing and speaking skills, and experience in stakeholder engagement, and the identification/management of non-technical risks and key stakeholder relationships that may impact Shell’s reputation.

Proven track record as self-starter, willingness to assume management of complex projects, pay attention to detail and set priorities to meet deadlines.

Ability to manage approvals processes and negotiate between business objectives and approvals constraints.

Capable of interfacing and coordinating with wide variety of groups, inclusive in approach.

An ‘outside-in’ mindset bringing best practice and competitor research into the team.
