This position is responsible to provide payment, admin processing support for the Logistics operations in Middle East Organization Units by ensuring accurate payments are provided to the suppliers. The role includes working directly with suppliers in order to identify invoicing issues, process payments, and continuously work to improve the freight payment process. The role also requires frequent communication with the contract holder and operations within the Lubricants Supply Chain team. And supporting them in Logistics cost control/management.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Review monthly statements of account from suppliers and identify inconsistencies.

  • Follow up with carrier and Shell Accounts Payable communications in order to fully understand gaps in the statement of account and process payment on time and clarify outstanding payments.

  • Execute many functions in SAP (future possibly in TMS application) including Freight Costing and identify and troubleshoot costing errors.

  • Master Data maintenance – freight rates / SAP tariff management on request.

  • Support implementation of all improvement projects Support Logistics and monitoring of PO limits in cooperation with Contracting & Procurement.

  • Drive mutual improvements in work processes and coordinate with the contract holders and procurement organization when working with transportation carriers.

  • Sales Logistics Tariffs control and reporting supporting delivery on recovery targets Provisions & accrual management

  • Ad hoc Logistics cost analysis

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of accounting

  • Time Management Abilities and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (MS Access and VBA would be a plus)

  • Analytical skills

  • Knowledge and experience using SAP

  • Fluent English (B2), Arabic language of advantage
