Who we are looking for

The person will report globally to the Global Head of Alpha Data Operations, and locally to the Business Unit head in the country where located. The VP of Alpha Data Operations will have joint responsibility, with the Global Head/senior staff, for the strategic growth of the Alpha Data Operations team, helping to position the operation model for scale and efficiency.

The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Services (SSGS). SSGS gives asset owners and managers access to the essential financial tools they need to deliver effective investment solutions. From core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping, to complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate, SSGS’ tools help our clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.

As Head of EMEA Alpha Data Operations you will

  • Be responsible for global FTE forecasting, with considerations of existing and future automation initiatives impacting number of people required
  • Work closely with senior managers across Product, Implementation, Technology, Service, and other Operations to ensure efficient and successful BAU
  • Oversight of Operations readiness checklist ensuring smooth and successful transition from Implementation to BAU
  • Be responsible for developing and enforcing roles and responsibilities, ensuring BAU resources are utilized in appropriate and efficient manner
  • Present Op model details and process workflows to clients
  • Oversee daily BAU operations for successful client delivery within SLA and monitor any client escalation for timely support
  • Help build ops support model around any new workflow per client requirements

These skills will help you succeed in this role

  • Proven ability to work independently, and bring a proactive and creative approach to problem solving
  • Proven ability to influence internal stakeholders and executive management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to work in fast-paced environment
  • Front Office Data operation management experience is a plus
  • 10-15 years of professional experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in a global management role within the financial services industry
  • Experience in working with Product and Technology teams to provide requirements for automation initiatives
