Global Process Owner Manager - Finance Processes | Cracow

Purpose of the role:

The position owns the global governance of Finance processes and in particular end-to-end Report-To-Record (RTR) processes and end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes. This includes building, standardizing, optimizing, and maintaining processes to the global standards. The position reports to Director Service and Process Excellence and leads the definition of roles and responsibilities, reviewing and approving business requirements, governing finance master data, and partnering with stakeholders to develop/maintain process policies, performance management, and select technology solutions to global standards. The position works closely with key functional executives across the Finance, Tax & Treasury, FP&A, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Procurement and Information Technology (IT) organizations.

With a clear vision and drive to achieve best-in-class processes across the enterprise, the role holder leads the development and maintenance of a long-range technology roadmap for global enterprise financial processes. This role focuses on alignment to global strategic plans, prioritizes fiscal/resource constraints, develops the rationale for project acceptance, and manages the communication process.

The role holder directs a team of global process owner professionals located across the globe. Currently, the team of 5 people consists of 2 process owners (RTR, OTC) in Europe and 3 process owners (RTR, OTC) in Asia. The purpose of this group is to achieve best-in-class processes that yield improvements in quality and cost across the enterprise. The role holder does so by measuring current performance, benchmark against external and internal comparatives, active innovation research and then defines a clear roadmap and drives implementation with its own team, the operations teams and stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

Set and manage the enterprise process agenda (40%)

  • Designs the global vision and strategy for end-to-end enterprise processes
  • Lead and promote compliance to global processes and solution standards
  • Eliminate complexity by designing and implementing global solutions
  • Review and approve end-to-end business requirements to drive finance process solutions to support A70 strategy while driving increased use of global process standard solutions
  • Follow the enterprise process governance framework and partners with Finance, RTR and OTC operations process teams to implement the future state policies, processes, solutions, and work location

Process Alignment and Standardization (20%)

  • Ensure alignment with key strategic projects
  • Lead and support the transformation to a Process Based Organization
  • Act in a consulting support role for Finance, RTR and OTC operations process teams
  • Ensure realization of business requirements in conjunction with related IT systems
  • Hold lead role in representing business interests in IT systems functional configurations
  • Hold lead role in managing the IT systems during and post deployment continuous improvement

Initiate, Support/Lead Process Standardization and Improvement Projects (30%)

  • Initiate and lead and/or support standardization, optimization, and harmonization projects - following world class best practice recommendations
  • Have an end-to-end process focus that goes beyond Finance, RTR and OTC and optimizes processes across the enterprise
  • Responsible for visible and measurable project benefits reporting, tracking & realization
  • Respond to available KPI measurements, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Identify and prioritize process optimization and harmonization opportunities through assessing Pain Points, and Industry or Internal Best Practices
  • Partner with Service Management in implementation and execution of Demand Management process
  • Qualify and quantify process optimization potential (focus on tangible benefits, developing ROI calculations, Business Case to justify)

Process Stewardship (10%)

  • Develop and lead RTR and OTC process stream governance model (e.g., meetings, reporting to key stakeholders)
  • Provides guidance and approval for process roles and responsibilities (RASCI)
  • Support development of Subject Matters Experts community across GBS
  • Ensures end-to-end RTR and OTC process catalog and taxonomy adherence
  • Define and maintain, partnering with IT, system catalogue and decommissioning plan
  • Synchronize process improvement plans with stakeholders in the value chain and other interfacing processes
  • Manage Business Leaders, Affiliate and GBS stakeholders impacted by change proposals
  • Promote continuous improvement culture and mindset across the business
  • Enable overarching best practice and lessons learned sharing across the community of process owners
  • Handle escalation addressed by process owners for non-adherence within processes, develop solution plan and measures and present to management for execution
What you’ll need:

Must Have

  • A strategic thinker able to establish and communicate a global vision, yet detail oriented
  • Ability to liaise between the business and information systems teams at a senior level; provides strong negotiating skills to reach workable resolutions
  • Action oriented and willing to be bold in adopting new standards
  • Has a high degree of process and functional knowledge with a thorough understanding of the end-to-end processes, as well as knowledge of the functional organization, business requirements, and existing technology solutions
  • Possesses senior level leadership skills, able to understand the business strategy and direction
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including management of complex global and regional cross-functional project teams, to lead and drive team performance and accomplishments
  • ERP system knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to re-engineer processes and performed change management to ensure adoption of associates
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
  • Experience in a multi-national company
  • Experience in a multi-cultural environment
