Your new team
Global Billing Operations department as a part of State Street's Finance Division is responsible for end to end client invoicing and reconciliation activities on investment funds. The Billings teams provide services for 7 EMEA countries: France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland and the UK.
Who we are looking for
Position requires Accounting knowledge and financial instruments in depth expertise. Previous experience in finance processes (billing, cash collection, AP) is needed to perform the job. You need to have previous team leadership or supervisory experience to lead the team.

Your new role
Billing Operations Team Manager is responsible for leading Billing Team(s), assigning tasks in line with GBO strategy and reporting results to management. Duties will also include people management and dealing with clients queries.
The function is required to cooperate with both internal and external stakeholders and clients with special attention to risk excellence and full accountability for assigned tasks.
As Billing Operations Team Manager, Officer you will
•Oversee and manage Team Supervisors and/or SME's within Billing team
•Monitor and report daily task completeness to Billing Operations Manager and/or Operations Manager
•Own identified issues and act on solutions in cooperation with appropriate departments and SME's
•Prepare reports and information's on billing team performance for Senior Billing Management
•Control and monitor performance of team members, prepare succession plans
•Provide mentorship and support for less experienced people managers
•Be up to date with rights and obligations of employees in workplace and if needed conduct meetings to dispel doubts and explain any queries
•Provide update on local and global initiatives and projects to the team
•Lead projects and identify process changes needs
•Present highest level of risk excellence and be an example of ethical behaviour for the team
•Act as team/department representative on various committees and working groups
•Be first point of contact for opinions and expertise of internal process excellence initiatives
•Perform regular one to one meetings with direct reports, and skip level meetings with employees within reporting line
•Perform annual performance review and feedback for direct reports
•Supervise complex billing process performed by the team
•Ensure Business Continuity Plans are in place and up to date
•Manage internal programs and requirements e.g. Business Controls, Compliance, Audit, etc.
•Present strategic approach to team development, manage teams headcount and hiring process
What we value
Previous level of experience and education:
•At least 6 years of professional experience in financial accountancy, and/or billing and/or fund accounting and/or other relevant according to company’s management assessment
•Fund Accounting or Fund Services Invoicing knowledge would be an asset
•Experience in people management
•Minimum Bachelor degree
•Finance or Accounting area certificate or degree
