As a Contracting and Procurement Senior Buyer in Functions& Technology Team, you will have a direct impact on delivery of business cost improvement through 3rd Party spend management.
The focus will be on sourcing and contracting activities, where you will manage portfolio of contracts and handle new demands within Global Functions scope (including but not limited to HR, Consulting, Professional Services, Real Estate and Facility Management), according to Category Management Contracting & Procurement guidelines. You will be accountable for aggregating/leveraging third-party spend, developing and executing sourcing strategy to optimise Shell’s buying power and reduce the overall 3rd party expenditure. As a Senior Sourcing Buyer you will ensure that sourcing strategy is in line with Business/Function priorities through regular engagement with key business stakeholders and suppliers, in order to achieve annual, integrated cost improvement targets. Your responsibility would be to manage tail spend by working closely with Category Management Team and maximize value on operational and tactical contracts.
Accountabilities:
You will work closely with Category Management Team and key stakeholders within various Shell Businesses and Functions to execute Category Management commercial work plans and deliver substantial value to Shell Businesses and Functions by:
• Creating a deeper business partnership within the scope of the role focused on delivering maximum business value
• Utilizing market knowledge and business drivers to develop and execute fit-for-purpose commercial strategies and work plans for Tactical and Operational spend
• Setting and executing sourcing activities end to end across multiple Businesses/Functions
• Managing a low and medium complexity contract portfolio
• Developing, tendering and negotiating contracts in line with the Business Demand
• Maximizing value from Tactical and Operational contracts by spend consolidation and implementation of Enterprise Framework Agreements
• Delivering end-to-end cost savings impacting RDS bottom line Requirements
Requirements:
• Approximately 3-5 years of professional experience including procurement activities, sourcing and contracts negotiations
• Fluent English (C1)
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in any Commercial Discipline, including Law, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain/CP, Business/Management (including HR) and Marketing
• Ability to make decisions even under circumstances of ambiguity of information without full picture known
• Ability to engage stakeholders, manage and influence business decisions
• Good organization skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
• Very good commercial sense and understanding of procurement and legal aspects
Familiarity with SAP Ariba, SAP Blueprint or RtP process would be an advantage
