Scope:

  • Providing day-to-day advice on a variety of legal and operational matters related to Group Services and Recoveries (across all business lines and functions, including SBOs) including:

  • Drafting, reviewing and terminating agreements and other legal documents underpinning the operation of the intra-group legal framework (including preparation and implementation of new agreements, amendments to and terminations of such agreements).

  • Advising on existing agreements and other legal documents underpinning the operation of the intra-group legal framework.

  • Supporting the implementation and operation of policies and processes governing Group Services and Recoveries across Shell Group.

  • Advising on deviations from the standard process governing Group Services and Recoveries across Shell Group, including drafting agreements and/or legal documents designing new or supporting already existing deviation.

  • Advising on ancillary subject matter areas such as delivery of services to non-cost sharers, Service and Holding Companies, satellite agreements and other intra-group service agreements.

  • Acting as a liaison between GSR Legal and the appropriate cost sharing working party.

  • Increasing awareness and retaining knowledge on the subject of Group Services and Recoveries by giving trainings to staff of Shell Group.

  • Capturing learnings and proposing improvements to the existing processes, agreements, and guidance notes.

  • Providing day-to-day advice on a variety of legal and operational matters related to Commercial Secondments, including:

  • Drafting, reviewing and terminating commercial secondment agreements (including preparation and implementation of new agreements, amendments to and terminations of such agreements).

  • Advising on agreements and other legal documents related to existing commercial secondment relationship.

  • Supporting the implementation and operation of policies and processes governing Commercial Secondment Agreements across Shell Group.

  • Partnering with and providing day-to-day legal support to HR & Business stakeholders involved in commercial secondment agreements across Shell Group.

  • Increasing awareness and retaining knowledge on the subject of commercial secondment agreements by giving trainings to HR & Legal & Business stakeholders.

  • Capturing learnings and proposing improvements to the existing processes, agreements, and guidance notes.

  • Carrying out such other tasks to support colleagues within the Central Legal Services Team, as required.

Requirements

• Law degree and license to provide legal services in the jurisdiction where physically located
• At least 5 years or more of relevant post-graduation experience.
• Enthusiastic self-starter who pro-actively identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes - proven record of continuous improvement.
• Capability to quickly build knowledge on different topical areas and a demonstrated solution- oriented attitude.
• Team player with the ability to work independently under pressure with minimum supervision.
• Adapt quickly with a clear strength in identifying priority assignments, managing time and expectations.
• Flexibility to work as part of virtual team.
• Fluency in English with strong English legal drafting skills.
• Contracting experience with the ability to understand strategies and risk mitigation.
• Strong analytical and issue spotting skills.
• Independent and is accountable for relationships with broad range of stakeholders.
• Has breadth of experience and knowledge that creates ability to deal with new and unexpected issues.
• Able to solve imaginatively, common technical/operational problems.
