Your role

Do you feel passionate about inventory and configuration management? Are you interested to provide tech solutions across a wide range of products and technologies? Are you motivated to work in a complex, divers, and global environment? We’re looking for a Tech Data and Process Engineer to join our team.

In this role you will be responsible for the inventory and configuration management data and processes, issue analysis, and providing improvement. This will include but not be limited to:

• collaboration, knowledge transfer and common occurrence in relation to our internal customers in server and software inventory, configuration data and processes.
• work with other teams to improve and migrate their processes to new solutions
• support programs and migrations by our expertise as well as providing proposals for improvements
• provide solutions in case of integration issues with data sources and consumers
• overview and control the data quality of our inventory and CMDB
• improve automation of processes
• collaborate with other global IT teams

Your team

IT Asset Management is a global organization within Group CTO providing a data platform to underpin our partners infrastructure technology to support business applications.
You will be part of the IT Asset Management team, which has a global footprint and works with clients and wider team members spread across the world. We offer flexibility in the workplace and equal opportunities to all our teams.
Together we are responsible for the overall data management of IT Asset inventory and configuration management data of our central inventory/CMDB in UBS. Therefore, we are in close contact with many UBS employees from all regions.

Your expertise

• fundamental understanding of ITIL
• an in-depth, broad knowledge of the different types of system technologies and operating systems from an inventory and configuration management point of view.
• experience as IT Data and IT Process Engineer or similar
• preferably experience in the areas of inventory or configuration management and data distribution technologies such as Kafka.
• ability to write SQL queries to analyze data issues and data inconsistencies.
• report creation skills would be a plus (e.g., Tableau)
• fluent in English
