MAKE HISTORY WITH US!

At PMI, we’ve chosen to do something incredible. We’re totally transforming our business, and building our future on smoke-free products with the power to improve the lives of a billion smokers worldwide.
With huge change, comes huge opportunity. So, wherever you join us, you’ll enjoy the freedom to dream up and deliver better, brighter solutions and the space to move your career forward in endlessly different directions.

The Enterprise Analytics and Data team has the ambition to transform Philip Morris into a company where decision-making process is driven by data and specifically, in that context, we are looking to harness the power of machine learning to accelerate this transformation.
As part of this team, we are looking for a Senior Data Architect specializing in building and delivering data architectures to support Machine Learning (ML) models.
This is truly an exceptional opportunity to accelerate your career and work alongside a wide cross-section of business and IT leaders within the organization. To succeed, you will need a healthy mix of strategic thinking, deep hands-on experience of modern data architecture practices (Polyglot Persistence) and a deep understanding of ML training (learning), inference (prediction) and deployment architectures on Cloud platforms.
The principal questions you are expected to answer are:
“How to design and build data models for machine learning that fulfil the need for appropriate data access, data preparation, data serving, data analysis and data reporting of model outcomes?”
“How to design and build data models for machine learning that are mapped to the various phases of the machine learning model lifecycle (model selection, model training, model fitting etc.)?”
“How can such data models be containerized and offered to our team of data scientists so they are able to move from exploration to industrialization of the ML models seamlessly using these data architecture patterns?”

You are expected to propose, design and architect the data architecture(s) that is best suited to address our current status quo but also is evolutionary in aiming to future-proof the roadmap for ML Data Architecture.

The following key outcomes are expected:
Data Architecture patterns that are aligned to our standard CI/CD process and model deployment.
Data Architecture that encourages rapid experimentation and synthesis using economies of scale.
Data Architecture for ML activities like training (batch size, distillation) &inference (quantization).
Define and embed the data architecture standards for ML/AI systems, specifically for:
- Accessing raw data
- Building features from raw data
- Combining features into training data
- Calculating and serving features in production
- Monitoring features in production

You will be a key member of the Data Architecture and Data Strategy Team and will work closely with our Domain architect, Machine learning architect, NLP architect and a core team of Enterprise Data Architects to ensure your proposed technical and data architecture for API integration services is in full alignment with our underlying business and technical strategic drivers and challenges faced by PMI.
