Your role

We’re looking for software engineer to:

•Provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
•Analyze business requirements for the Investment Bank
•Design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages
•Providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
•Conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
•See that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production

Your team

You'll be working in one of the agile teams within the Global Markets Financing area of the IB. These teams have members located across Poland, UK and India. The teams consist of junior and senior developers, business analysts, project managers and testers. We build and maintain systems associated with clearing, allocation, transaction reporting, risk, collateral and reference data management within the Exchange Traded Derivatives (and Cleared OTC) stream of GM Financing. Most of the systems we build are Java based server-side systems, but we do also support a handful of fat-client GUI and web-based systems too.

Your expertise

•Minimum proven record of 5 years developing software utilizing Java programming language
•Solid Object-Oriented analysis and design skills
•Knowledge and experience with frameworks: Spring (Core, Boot)
•Proven experience and solid knowledge of Kafka
•Understanding of EIP (Enterprise Integration Patterns): Spring Integration or Apache Camel
•Test automation and test-driven development experience (TDD / ATDD)
•Experience with microservices and event driven architectural design and development
•Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
•Experience in producing secure and clean code that is stable, operational, well-performing
•First-hand experience in working with business to develop requirements
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Excellent written and communication skills
