Data Excellence Specialist for Supply Chain role plays a key role in enabling ‘Business Delivery’ by bringing the Vision of Delivering the World’s Most Competitive Supply Chains to life in the organization. The successful candidate must be credible, high performing and enable Business Delivery through bringing the ‘best of all’ to DeepWater team- upskilling the frontlines through deep expertise, Internal/External Perspectives, best practices, tools and techniques. The Excellence team must be Trusted Advisors to the full organization, providing hands-on support, building commercial maturity in the Supply Chain organization and the business, and improving E2E SC transparency to make tradeoffs visible, enabling high-quality decision making and elevating delivery. This role will also provide key analytics support to Leadership.

The Supply Chain Specialist Excellence Performance should:

  • Manipulate large volumes of data from multiple sources into concise reports and summaries with ability to detect data discrepancies

  • Design and maintain performance reports and statistics for management. Manage KPIs and provide insights to SC dashboards and reports. Is accountable for validating the data inputs

  • Develop presentations with key takeaways from data and be able to convert data to a credible storyline

  • Developing business case for digital solutions, as required

  • Launching digital initiatives to meet supply chain requirements

  • Support the analytics usage in Supply Chain, including Power BI (MSC Workbench, eOscar), Fit4, WISE. Super user for cost improvements tools and reporting

  • Provide recommendations on new metrics to use for supply chain as needed and support as necessary data improvement initiatives

  • Provide insights to the Deepwater supply chain organization in pursuit of Group goals for SC and the DW Business.

  • Drive change in the way that Supply Chain delivers its ambition, by ensuring that SC wide programs are effectively implemented, there is a robust commercial and continuous improvement mind-set with a focus on Commercial Best Practice and simplification and our business stakeholders are assured in how we manage risk (Commercial and Process) effectively.

  • Recognize how future supply chain value will be generated for the businesses, e.g., highly commercial deals in the most business-critical supply chains, deeper strategic supplier collaboration to leverage new technologies, suppliers acting as ‘integrators” of supply chains and highly efficient/automated “touchless” procurement for lower value requirements;

The Specialist Excellence Performance supports the Gulf Of Mexico Supply Chain Excellence team. The incumbent must be deeply connected to the DW Supply Chain organization, supporting value delivery and progressing the supply chain capability journey. This requires a highly capable, dynamic and credible individual, with deep function technical knowledge, strong analytical skills and depth and breadth of experience to effectively tackle complex multi-dimensional, cross-functional issues.

Requirements:

  • University degree (business or engineering) or equivalent

  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with attention to details is a must

  • Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals

  • Creative thinker capable of developing innovative solutions and a motivated self-starter with a track record of delivery

  • Collaborates and integrates within SC, Functions and with business, showing enterprise first mindset, focused on tangible value outcomes for the enterprise. Understands business and speaks business language. Has effective influencing skills and can flex their style to audience.

  • An ability to build effective and strong working relationships at all levels (including senior) in the business and across CP is therefore essential.

  • Self-motivated multitasker, can adapt quickly to new ways of working & think creatively

  • Experience across the Business Organization, both at a local and global level preferred

  • Focus on building a strong Operational and Commercial Excellence community of practice through collaboration and sharing and developing learnings with other SC professionals

  • Highly driven, ‘can do’, inspiring, able to articulate in a crisp and precise manner

  • Uncompromising on HSSE, Ethics & Compliance is a ‘must have’ in all CP roles

  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Power Point and Outlook

  • Very good knowledge of Power BI, Business warehouse (PB7), Fit4, WISE

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Special Challenges (Complexity):

  • Americas’ Deepwater is a very dynamic business that requires a balance between ‘pace’ (speed of delivery) and delivery of value.

  • The role supports North America, the resource is expected to work mid shift or have significant working hour overlap with North American work hours.

  • The incumbent, while being based within CP Ops, will strongly support SC Performance Manager (dotted line), following One Team approach and ensuring a strong connect across the E2E SC organization.
