Who we are looking for

Experienced Business Risk Specialist who will be focusing on risk mitigation within the first line of defense through process and controls deep dives, controls monitoring and design of effective controls.


What you will be responsible for

  • Take responsibilities and be accountable to management for appropriately assessing and effectively managing risks associated with the first line of defense’s activities
  • Conduct Process and Controls Reviews, identification and resolution of risk and issues or operational inefficiencies, including Business Process Mapping
  • Self-identify risk and issues, analyse root causes, support in implementation of remediation plans
  • Discuss and validate potential control gaps, control design and operating effectiveness issues with the appropriate owners
  • Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
  • Register self-identified issues in Archer
  • Monitor open issues and recommendations through to closure
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders including Business Risk Management teams
  • Support control change process - Perform other duties delegated by the supervisor

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Relevant work experience, at least 3 years
  • Proffered background in Financial Services
  • Experience in Control, Compliance, Risk Management
