In this role, you have the opportunity to make your next professional step, join the innovative environment of Philips and drive strategy and supply base development for the procurement and delivery of construction and building services in order to deliver turnkey hospital imaging rooms. The value of this category is 50 M euro annually.

You will vigorously look for opportunities to standardize and innovate current ways of working and solutions. You will improve Cost, Quality and Delivery of Customer Building Works Projects by developing and deploying sourcing strategies, using instruments like Negotiations, Project management, LEAN, Design for Excellence, Stakeholder Engagement Events, in close cooperation with locally based market procurement teams.

You are responsible for

  • Decreasing cost through deep analysis, cost modelling and evaluation of supplier offerings, new solutions, products, vendors and market development;

  • Developing and executing category strategy together with your cross functional partners and local market procurement colleagues;

  • Leading, developing, assigning, and monitoring sourcing projects, including responsibility for (local) negotiation, reporting, agreed savings and (cost) budgets;

  • Defining and executing project/contract roll-outs in coordination with local procurement colleagues and stakeholders in the markets;

  • Establishing programs for developing: Supplier relationships, Negotiations, Performance Measurement/Feedback;

  • Developing and maintaining appropriate linkages with development, finance and service within various categories to ensure successful execution of strategies;Drive synergies, improvements and new leverage opportunities for assigned portfolio.

  • Working closely with local market procurement managers and other relevant stakeholders;

  • Challenging ways of working and drive change to enable cost savings both internally and with suppliers;

You are a part of our Procurement Organization, Global CC Medical ODM & Markets, where we develop and coordinate key category strategies within the BoM and 3rd party products & services.

You will be located in Global Competence Center in Łódź, where we centralize our business processes. We bring together supporting roles within HR, Finance, Procurement, Customer Service, Supply Chain and other, enabling you to have a career in an international, cross functional environment. Your future colleagues speak 25+ languages and represent 15+ different nationalities, supporting our operations in 50 countries on a daily basis.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline;

  • Approximately 5-7 years of relevant working experience;

  • Combination of experience in procurement with construction management;

  • Strong drive for results;

  • Bring technical and/or market knowledge from external sources and incorporate those ideas into procurement;

  • Able to balance the needs of multiple customers;

  • Lead the development of effective networks of internal customers and suppliers;

  • In depth knowledge of the procurement area, category strategy, goals and objectives;

  • Experience in managing the total relationship with the assigned suppliers in order to provide optimal cost, technology, availability and quality of components/sub-assemblies and their impact on finished products;
