Purpose of Role:
To ensure that all deliverables are produced and dispatched on time in accordance with client service level agreements and agreed quality standards.
The candidate will liaise with State Street colleagues in the UK and across other global locations.
Query management and responses to clients, third parties and internal State Street groups
Major Responsibilities:
Execute core Activities
- Effective query logging, escalation and resolution
- Independent performance of core tasks
- Facilitate the opening of market accounts on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with COE/Shared service teams to facilitate delivery of all core client services per client Service Schedule / Service Level Agreement
- Support client use of State Street online reporting platform
- Develop thorough understanding of state street systems and operating model
- Proactively share new ideas to support process improvements and changes to team processes
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with team and other internal contacts
- Develop a basic awareness of SLA’s and KPI’s as appropriate
- Understand and adhere to all relevant procedures
- Work in a manner that produces accurate and timely results
Participation in oversight / governance of process delivery teams
- Escalate issues with Global Process Delivery CoEs / Shared Service sites via the Oversight Governance Team
- Provide feedback on Shared Services/COEs and update issues log
Managing core activities and risk
- Perform core risk and control processes: (credit risk approvals; failed trades; overdrafts; non-receipts of Funds, high risk IMT review, high risk cash break review)
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of team checklists as required
- Review operating procedures and ensure they are kept up to date
- Perform team housekeeping duties, filing, rota tasks
Participation in Training and Development
- Actively participate in appraisal process by suggesting appropriate development priorities
- Actively participate in training and development of all aspects of your role
- Develop knowledge of State Street policies and guidelines
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the ‘risk’ escalation chain e.g. for operational issues and suspicious transactions
- Actively participate in team meetings
Level of Education/ Specific Qualifications
School lever/ Graduate or equivalent/ relevant experience
Skills and Experience -
- Experience within fund administration/ accounting is preferred although not essential
- PC literacy is essential along with numeracy skills
- General understanding of fund administration and pricing process
- Completion of quality controls and adherence with regulations
- Demonstrate understanding of basic accounting principles
- Studying towards IAQ encouraged
